Etendard Jeanne D'Arc is a Belgian jacquard wall tapestry depicting the coat of arms of Joan of Arc.  This famous woman of history was born in Lorraine in 1412, and played a major and legendary role in rallying the flagging forces of Charles VII against the English occupier in 1429.  She led her troops to break the siege of Orléans which also allowed Charles VII to be officially crowned king in Reims the same year.  Due to her remarkable and courageous acts, Charles VII granted her family arms and nobility.
