John Webster (d.1646), thought to have come from Ipswich, in Suffolk County, England, emigrated to America and was made a freeman in Ipswich, Massachusetts in 1635. He married Mary Shatswell, and their descendants lived in Massachusetts and elsewhere. Traces four generations of their issue, through the eighteenth century.
