In the 1940's and 50's there were many
"nameless” ceramic facilities in Mexico making
Disney ceramics. The ceramics were supposedly
licensed through the Evan K. Shaw Company
as some examples have been seen
with Shaw paper labels.
The CERAMICA de CUERNAVACA COMPANY
(Cuenavaca, Mexico) became an Official
Disney licensee in the 1960's.
Cuernavaca produced some
great Disney characters in the shapes
of Wall Masks, Banks and Cookie Jars.

Ceramic “Minnie Mouse”
Wall Mask made by the
CERAMICA de CUERNAVACA COMPANY.
There are no chips, cracks or breaks
on this unique ceramic piece.
There is slight visible crazing
and little loss of paint.
Showing its early date of being
manufactured, it has an open
cavity on the back with a
wire hanger. The back of this
“Minnie Mouse” Wall Mask has
three separate identifying markings:
It has a stamp reading:
“© WALT DISNEY PRODUCTIONS
Derechos Reservados”
It has a gold foil label reading:
“SELLO DE GARANTIA
CERAMICA DE CUERNAVACA, S.A.
Hecho En Mexico”
along with a
DISNEYLAND
PRICE TAG
reading:
“PRC $1.25 / A TAX .05 / TOT $1.30”
This “Minnie Mouse” Wall Mask is
in excellent pre-owned condition.
