Repair Service for a FRM Footwell Module (BMW or Mini)

FRM Failure Description

FRM module commonly fails due to a drop in voltage. This can be caused by a flat battery, jump starting, while changing the battery and sometimes after diagnostics or programming.

Below is a list of the most common symptoms of FRM module failure:

  1. Lost connection with OBD2
  2. The lights switch does not work (headlight always on).
  3. Indicators not showing feedback on instrument cluster.
  4. Central lock is not operating
  5. Sunroof , electric windows are not working
  6. If a convertible – the top roof does not fold
This repair is not for modules which have been water damaged.

Instructions for buying:

Step 1 Remove the Module

  • Remove the module yourself or Get your local mechanic to remove the module.
  • FRM unit is located on the driver’s side kick panel and it is easy to remove.

Step 2 Ship the Module

  • Please Ship via Canada Post XpressPost in a plastic bubble wrap envelope (available at post office). 
  • Major couriers such as DHL, FedEx, Purolator and UPS will NOT deliver to PO Boxes.

Step 3 We Repair the Module

  • When we receive the module we will inform you if it's repairable (you can purchase at this time).
  • We do our best to repair your FRM module and ship back to you the same day we receive it.

  • To avoid Diagnosis & Processing fees (in case unit is non-repairable) message us before purchasing.
  • This repair applies to FRMII and FRM3 modules and is not applicable to FRMI (or FRMFA) modules.
  • Repair comes with Lifetime Warranty and does not cover water damage (shipping fees not included).
