Fabulous mid century book of fairy tales with charming illustrations on every page. A nice mix of the most famous fairy tales with some lesser known stories - we all know Red Riding Hood, but who knows The Ass, the Table, and the Stick? Or Farmer's Tom and the Leprechaun?

Most of the illustrations are black line drawings, but there are also quite a few with one colour (yellow or green) used to excellent effect. Some are romantic, others are dramatic, and there are definitely a few humorous ones in the mix as well.
