Here's another historic note - a contemporary counterfeit from Saco, Maine. Rouged up & likely torn by the creator, in an attempt to fool the public.... Seldom seen, R-6 note, I believe. Large Size (Horseblanket) with clear signatures. Note has many internal splits, but displays well. Probably VF details. Believe it or not, adjusted for inflation, $1 had nearly $100 buying power when this note was printed, so making it appear circulated, for passing off as real at the time, was necessary. Maine is always been a popular state for obsolete currency fans. Please see the actual scans and you be the final judge of the condition, as a grade is just an opinion and will differ, depending on who you ask...
