This circa 1940s, 8" long Web Silver Company letter opener has a stainless-steel blade with a sterling silver handle. The handle has a WEB STERLING stamped at the top tip of handle right under the stainless-steel blade. The handle has the traditional floral Weidlich pattern. The soft, warm, original finish is present, with no buffing or machine polishing. Please note that the blade is stainless steel. The total weight of the letter opener is 30 grams for both the handle and blade.
For a vintage item of its age, the letter opener has some minor wear but very good condition. The excellent original condition and clear, crisp detail, with no monograms, removals, repairs or alterations, make this an especially attractive offering.
