This is a vintage hardcover illustrated children's book from 1960 called Harry and the Lady Next Door. It was written by Gene Zion and the pictures and illustrations are by Margaret Bloy Graham. This is part of an 'I can read book series'. Along with large text for young readers, are colorful pencil illustrations to explain what's happening in the story. The story is about Harry, a white dog with black spots and the apartment building he and his family live in. The book even has chapters throughout the 40 plus pages with titles like the party, Harry's first try, Harry's second try, and the contest. The book is in good condition and all the pages are intact. The inside cover has an address sticker and a name written in pencil. The outside cover is worn around the edges and corners. The front cover on the top right is worn right underneath the title, but nothing that affects the book.
