RARE VINTAGE REAL PHOTO The Swiss Studios King St Sydney BABY BOY POSTCARD

VERY SCARCE indeed!
EXCELLENT cond - REAL PHOTO - has impressed into the front in an oval brand "THE SWISS STUDIOS SYDNEY" - there is some penciled info and a date on the back - hard to decipher - see scans of both sides

Info from The Sydney Morning Herald on 19th Dec 1898 says - THE SWISS STUDIO - Of the many photographic studios Sydney is rich in not the least notable is one situate at No. 117 King-street. As the name implies, the building has been erected upon Swiss designs, and the quaint looking building, with its carved wood and miniature windows and its general old-time look, is one of the most striking features of King-street. It has a most attractive and roomy entrance or vestibule, in which are exhibited many hundreds of specimens of the works of art produced in the light and perfectly equipped studio above stairs, and the reception rooms, dressing-rooms, &c., are all in keeping. The proprietors are over busy at this time of the year, as is but natural when the exceptionally good class of their work is considered.
