there are no PSA 9 or 10's..  this is only 1 of 2 PSA 8.

and this one is the best centered one!!   I seen the other PSA 8 and this one is better centered. 

a 1969 PSA 10 topps (only 3) sold for 78k ,  pwcc auctions in june 2023.    The previous highest price for a 1969 Connie PSA 10 Topps?   8k...  so,   8k to 80k due to low pop on this card. 

a psa 7 Comspec sold for 5k june 2023. 

a psa 7 Wilt Comspec sold  7k  may 2023. 

a psa 4 (yes 4) Pete sold for 7k   march 2023.

now in 2024...  a psa 3 Wilt sold for 10.8k..   and a Wilt psa 3 went $412 in 2022.     why?  just not many around... and how few basketball issues from 1948 to the 1970's.....

a psa 2 Kareem sold for 4.4k.

what do you think a Wilt or Kareem PSA 8 will go for today?  same with Pete...

why so much?   so few exist...  and when the few that go for sale do go up for sale,  a bidding war.

basketball card hard core collectors of vintage sets... all know how rare the 1972 Comspec set and singles are. 

this psa 8 is the best Connie Hawkins graded Comspec..and prices for low pop psa graded Comspec cards are going up as advanced basketball card collectors are "in the know"... 

how often do psa 8 Comspec Connie Hawkins go up for sale?   1 every 3 to 5 years.. so,   if you do not pull trigger on this one...  wait to 2030 or so for next change to buy a psa 8.  (best one that exists at that)

I fully understand the "oh, but this card used to be 300 bucks.."      well,  MJ 1986 Fleer RC used to be 25 bucks. 

This is the finest Connie Hawkins Comspec that exists.. 

a side note on this listing... if you read this far,  you are a serious basketball collector......  the rarest NBA set that exist? 1972 Comspec set?  nope

the 1988 NBA Fournier 10 card sticker set issued from Spain.     MJ, Bird, Magic, McHale, Parish, Worthy, Malone, I Thomas, Jabbar,  and Mark Aquire. ....  check the psa pop report on the "other 7"     the big 3 in this set are: MJ, Bird, Magic...    and how low the pop report are for the "other 7".  

even more rare than the 1988 Fournier 10 card sticker set?????     the same 10 cards still wrapped.. so,  "wax pack" 10 sticker set of all 10 players...   6 of the 10 have pop of 0.   1 of the 10 has pop of 1. 

this is the rarest NBA set in history of NBA basketball sets....    the best part?   the set and stickers are licensed by the NBA league!!!!
