Description

Francois Guillmont was likely a tradename used by Ernst Reinhold Schmidt, a German luthier who lived from 1880-1926.

It has a beautiful one-piece back with gorgeous flamed maple. The sides and neck match. The modeling is fine, and the styling appears French, and it has an aristocratic aire about it.

It's a great violin for an advanced student.

This violin has a strong even tone.
