Anyone can fail a polygraph "lie detector" test even when they are telling the truth -- Conversely anyone can pass a polygraph while not telling the truth!  People with higher education levels and intellectual minds tend to be the worst candidates for passing the polygraph.  The reasons are also why sociopaths will nearly always pass a polygraph test.  Due to the exceptionally high security clearance I once held, later legal issues, and the fact that I have an intellectual mind with nearly 300 collegiate magna cum lade hours of education, I had taken and failed dozens of polygraphs while telling the truth --- BUT ONLY polygraphs taken prior to 2015
