Here's an excellent WHITE DOT SHEAFFER balance pen from about 1929. This is a big pen, not oversized as it is somewhat more slender, but is nearly 5-3/4" long and has the long narrow phone dialer barrel end. The pen is in black and pearl and there is some toning on the barrel, but not bad. The trim finish is in reasonably good condition, but there is some brassing on most of the components except the lever. The lever filler works perfectly and readily takes up ink. The clip is the earliest style of balance clip with the ball of the clip extending to the cap ring. There are no flaws in the celluloid except for some light rings at the barrel end, probably posting rings. Barrel imprint is strong. The nib is a big SHEAFFER LIFETIME medium point with excellent iridium. It is straight and pretty firm and is serialized 2929986. Great pen!
