Carburetor Installation Instructions

 

For Poulan VS-2 BVM200FE Leaf Blower,for Hus GBV345 (2010-05) Blower; for Craftsman 358.794763, 358.794770, 358.794780, 358.794765, 358.794774, 358.794773

 

1. Remove the old carburetor

Take off the plastic cover.

Disconnect the two fuel lines.

Remove the throttle linkage.

Unscrew and remove the old carburetor.

 

2. Connect the fuel lines (very important)

Fuel tank filter → Large port on the carburetor

Small port on the carburetor → Primer bulb “IN”

Primer bulb “OUT” → Return line back to the tank

If the lines are reversed, the primer bulb will not pull fuel.

3. Install the new carburetor

Put the carburetor onto the mounting studs.

Reinstall the screws.

Reconnect the throttle linkage.

Reconnect the fuel lines in the correct order.

For model 358.794774:

Some units require a short choke/start lever.

If the lever on the new carb is too long, swap the lever from the old carb (direct fit).

 

4. Test the primer bulb

Press 5–10 times.

Fuel should enter the bulb.

If no fuel moves: check fuel line order, fuel filter, and fuel line leaks.

 

5. Start the engine

Set choke to “Start”.

Pull the starter 3–5 times.

Move to “Run” once it fires.

Adjust idle screw if needed.
