You will need to be careful when ordering a replacement headliner for the 1994-1999 BMW as there are four (4) different headliner designs to choose from. Check your vehicle to determine which is the correct replacement headliner from these four choices.

1994 TO EARLY 1997 MODELS: Charcoal Headliner - Manual Lock - with a full length pinch welt in the front. This headliner has 3 plastic bows, a manual lock and finishes with a snap-on front. This is the most common version for the 1994 to 1996 E36.

EARLY 1997 328i: Charcoal Headliner - Manual Lock - with a 3/4 pinch welt and plastic pieces on front sides. This headliner has 3 plastic bows and plastic pieces on both sides of the front section of the headliner. This is a rare version for the early 1997 328i without the pocketed sleeve.

1997 TO 1999 MODELS: Charcoal Headliner - Power Lock - with a pocket sleeve in the front. This version has 2 plastic bows, electric latch and a pocket sleeve at the front for the 323i, 328i and M3. This is the most common version.

1997-1999 MODELS: Charcoal Headliner - Manual Lock - with a full length pinch welt on the front. This headliner has 2 plastic bows, a manual lock and snap-on at the front. This is a rarer version for the 323i with manual lock.
