Benjamin Thau (aka Benny, Ben) was an American businessman who became an MGM casting director
 and in 1956 replaced Dory Schary as head of the studio for a short time, before being replaced by
 Sol C. Siegel in 1958. Thau had an intimate affair with actress Greer Garson during his early years at MGM.
