Easy TV remote control.
This is a simple to use TV remote that learns from any infra red remote control (that covers most TVs but check the user manual if you're not certain).
You'll need the original remote to teach this one what the buttons do - just follow the simple instructions and it will be set up fast. You simply set the remote up ready to receive instructions, then press the button on your existing remote i.e. volume up and at the same time press the same button on the new remote when both remotes are facing each other when the red lights stop flashing it has transfered repeat process for each control you want. This is probably best done on your own rather than being constantly asked "is it ready yet"!
This replacement remote control only has a few functions:
- On/off
- Change channel (up or down)
- Change volume (up or down)
- Mute
- F - any other button you'd like to program or just ignore it
There's no confusion and no need to be a rocket scientist just to use the TV. It's the perfect answer for anyone who needs life to get simpler as they get older and the buttons are big enough to be able to find and press them easily.
You programme one button at a time:
- Hold the RED POWER BUTTON and the UP BUTTON simultaneously until the red light comes on continuously
- LET GO and it starts blinking
- BEFORE IT STOPS BLINKING, press and then let go the button on the new remote that you want to programme
- POINT the original control at the new one and press the button you want it to learn for about 3 seconds
- The learning remote blinks 3 times and then starts blinking more slowly
- When this happens, let go the button on the original remote and wait for the light to go out see less
You'll need 2 x AAA batteries (not supplied) and I'd suggest the longest life ones you can buy, ideally in a cardboard packaging and with a built in power meter so you're not rummaging through the battery drawer trying to work out which ones are live and which aren't.
Remember, you'll need the original remote control to be able to program this new one.
