Incredible detail and artistic ability are on full display in this jewel by Norma Jones (Jonzee)!  The usage of darker colors makes this art truly eye catching. Measurements are 20x24 inches.  This is one of her finest paintings and shows her prowess!  It is signed in the lower right but hard to see.

The wood frame is in good condition with a small nick on the inner edge of the matting.  It is a speckled antique gold color with ornate leaves etched into it.  The matting is off white linen.  Total dimensions are 26x30 inches and it's ready to display.

About the artist:  The late Norma Jones (Jonzee) was born in Colorado but considered New Mexico her home.  In the forty-three years she had been painting, her oils reflect why she loved New Mexico.  Watching the beautiful sunsets and being able to look across miles of space she said, "It's the feeling of freedom that captured me.  It's the enchanting beauty of this land and the history."  She preferred to find her subjects from the desert and ghost towns, each telling it's own story from the past.

Jonzee painted a locally well-known oil painting of the original St. Genevieve Catholic Church, in Las Cruces, New Mexico, built in 1859.  She donated her work to the bank that then occupied the site where the original St. Genevieve Catholic Church once stood. One of her paintings hangs in the Governor's mansion in Santa Fe, N.M.  Looking at her art, one can see why she is well-known and respected around the region.

Hello!

Thank you so much for viewing my Art!  My name is Gregory, owner of Art to Cherish, located in the hotbed and heartland of Southwestern Art and Artists!   We are located in New Mexico, in the City of Las Cruces (The Crosses), next door to the historic, artistic Village of Old Mesilla.

I am a passionate Art lover and advocate!!  Nothing makes my day like when I hear from my customers that their art has arrived there and that they love it!   Those responses are truly rewarding and beautiful music to my ears!   I try my best to select quality offerings that will appeal to, and be affordable for, all kinds of art enthusiasts.  You will find that most of my items are currently in the “Under $100” category, with a generous selection in the “Under $250” range and of course, we maintain an inventory of several higher-end, fine art offerings.

My goal is to develop, for my customers, one of the largest, diversified, hand-picked art sources on Ebay.  The bulk of this portfolio will be pre-owned (battle-tested) paintings along with numerous new works, as well.   I strive to provide original works as much as possible.   Please be patient with me because this endeavor will take time to fully come to fruition and I do not want to sacrifice the quality of my art for the sake of accumulating a lot of listings quickly.   Further, please do not be offended when I attempt to inject (what I consider to be) humor into the text of my listings, because no offense is ever intended!

Thank you for being an indispensible part of my success and please visit my Ebay store regularly.   Together, with your help, we can be a shining source of Art to Cherish around the globe!

Cheers! Gregory
