Vintage Mr. John New York Paris Classic Silk Red & Purple Hat Retro Mod Rare.
This is a very interesting hat. I'm not sure what the name is for this style and shape of hat. I couldn't find anything else just like it in my search online. It is Red and Purple. However, it appears to have been painted. If you look under the inside ribbon (see photo) you will see that the original silk is white with blue and teal polka dots. At some point the whole hat was sprayed red. The brim is quilted and asymmetrical as you can see in the photos. There is some wear consistent with age and a small whole in the back where I suspect there was a pin at one point in time (see photo).
