When a  tabloid columnist (Eva Mendes)wonders how an average guy (Kevin James) can get a society heiress (Amber Valletta), she discovers that the man that she is seeing turns out to be this legendary matchmaker (Will Smith), who is making this sort of thing happen.  

Finding that his success in getting women for other men doesn't seem to work for himself while trying to be with who he doesn't realize yet that the woman he likes is a gossip columnist, the matchmaker now runs into unforeseen trouble that is hilariously  problematic but may lead to True Love.
