ARTIFACT: This is a great early 1900s badge for the Claremont (Street) Railway & (Electric) Lighting Company in Claremont, New Hampshire. The railway's passenger service ended around 1932 and freight service continued until sometime in the 1950s. The badge reads CLAREMONT RY. & LIGHTING CO. 19. 

 VINTAGE: Circa early 1900s. 

 SIZE: Approximately 1-1/2" height and 2-5/16" width. 

 MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Nickel-plated brass with painted black lettering. 

 ATTACHMENT: Horizontal safety-style pin. 

 MARKINGS: None.

 CONDITION: 7 (Very Fine): The badge shows some moderate abrasions and a bit of the paint is worn .
