Vitcas Heat Resistant Sealant 310ml – 1300°C

Model: VITCAS-HRS-310ML

Create strong, heat-resistant joints with Vitcas Heat Resistant Sealant. This ready-to-use sealing and caulking paste withstands temperatures up to 1300°C, making it suitable for demanding domestic and industrial high-temperature applications.

The sealant adheres to many compatible materials, including ceramics, glass, metal and silica-based surfaces. In addition, the 310ml cartridge allows accurate application with a standard cartridge gun.

Key Features

Vitcas Heat Resistant Sealant Specification

Compatible Materials

Vitcas Heat Resistant Sealant can seal, fix and join a range of compatible high-temperature materials, including:

Surface treatments and different material grades may affect adhesion. Therefore, test the sealant on a small hidden area when you are unsure about compatibility.

Suitable Applications

Use this high-temperature sealant for suitable applications such as:

Always confirm that the materials, joint design and operating temperature suit this sealant before starting the work.

How to Apply Vitcas Heat Resistant Sealant

  1. First, make sure the appliance and application area are completely cold.
  2. Remove all dirt, dust, rust, grease and loose material from the surfaces.
  3. Make sure the joint is clean and correctly prepared.
  4. Cut the top from the cartridge and attach the nozzle.
  5. Trim the nozzle to produce the required bead size.
  6. Fit the cartridge into a standard sealant gun.
  7. Apply the sealant directly into the joint.
  8. Aim for a thin joint of approximately 2–3mm.
  9. Tool and smooth the sealant before it begins to set.
  10. Clean away unwanted material promptly.
  11. Allow the sealant to set at room temperature.
  12. Finally, introduce heat gradually over approximately four hours to complete the curing process.

Drying and Curing

The sealant sets at room temperature. However, drying and curing times can vary according to the temperature, humidity, joint thickness and surrounding materials.

You can speed up the final cure by applying heat gradually over approximately four hours. Do not expose the fresh sealant to full operating temperature immediately because a rapid increase in heat may damage the joint.

Finishing the Sealant

Once the sealant has dried and cured fully, you can sand it to improve the finished surface. You can also overpaint the cured sealant with a suitable, compatible paint.

Before painting, make sure the surface is dry, clean and free from dust. Test the paint on a small area if you are unsure about compatibility or heat resistance.
