This flexible CPU relocator can be fitted to any standard MC68000 DIP64-900
socket, to be found in several Amiga computer models such as A500,
A500+, A1000 and A2000. The adapter's purpose is to position CPU cards
and other expansions in such way that they suit the user's needs, for
instance in tower conversions or when adding accelerator boards. Part A fits into the CPU socket, while Part B
is connected via a flat ribbon cable of approximately 15-18cm in length.
Please check if your accelerator / CPU card has round precision pins with a maximum diameter of about 0.5mm. Otherwise it might not fit the socket on Part B.
However, on request I could prepare a custom version for standard square pins.
Part A (the part that is fitted to the mainboard socket) comes with standard square pins as standard to achieve a tight and stable fit. However, on request round precision pin headers can be fitted instead.
One order will contain:
- one PCB Part A with DIP64 pins and 64pin male connector
- one 64-conductor ribbon cable
- one PCB Part B with DIP64
socket and 64pin male connector
Conditional slight changes to design and layout possible.
Some
images may show angled or straight connectors. For this type of adapter angled connectors are default, straight ones or angled ones with retaining clamps can be fittet on request.
In
some cases the "no-offset version" maybe more suitable to not interfere
with keyboard or other internal components. Please check my other items.
Expedited shipping
option preferred as it includes insurrance and would be safer in case of
any trouble with the current international shipping chaos.
Although
I have assembled and tested these adapters to the best of my abilities,
I cannot take any responsibility for any damage caused to your
equipment.
Connection and usage is at your own risk! After all, this is a private sale of DIY equipment. Thanks for understanding!
