SRM TECH PRO CARTRIDGE MOUNTING KIT FOR ORTOFON 2M (AND OTHER THREADED BODY) CARTRIDGES
To extract the ultimate performance from your cartridge it is imperative it is correctly mounted to the headshell. This can only be done with bolts of the correct diameter, length, strength and material. Using inferior fixings such as aluminium, brass or nylon will result in audible loss of information.
Quite a few of our award-winning turntables are fitted with the superb Ortofon 2M magnetic cartridges and these are the fixings we use.
The mounting bolts and nuts in this kit are non magnetic high strength stainless steel - the only type you should use when fitting a cartridge - and the socket head on the bolts allows for easy tightening with the supplied allen key. 8mm bolts are supplied for thicker headshells but in the majority of cases the 6mm bolts will work fine.
