This original photograph of the Edwin Franko Goldman Band comes from the collection of former Sousa Band bass trombonist George Lucas who played many years with the N.Y. Philharmonic under Toscanini, Koussevetsky, Barbarolli, and others.  Even by 1954, there are still a few former Sousa bandsmen as well as the legendary tubist, Harvey Phillips in this photo!  Having never been properly framed, there is some waviness to the paper as well as sun fading to the inscription which reads: "To George Lukas / from / Edwin Franko Goldman / July 10/54."  The photo is identified at the feet of Dr. Goldman: "The Goldman Band / Town Hall, New York / June 21, 1954."  Asst. conductor, Richard Franko Goldman can been seen standing next to the end tuba player.  The photo was produced by The Standard Flashlight Co. of NYC.  There is a surface flaw over the 2nd clarinet player in the last row that measures approx .75" in diameter and upper corner creases and one chip which could be matted out if desired.  Overall size is 11" x 14" while the band image is 13" x 6.5"  Winner pays shipping.  PayPal payment appreciated within two days of purchase.  All sales final and thank you for the privilege of your time.  Caveat Emptor
