Hearts and Arrows Cut
Not all moissanite stones are cut the same. These stones that I am selling are very high quality cut round brilliants, hearts and arrows cut. Hearts and arrows means they are cut perfectly and show a hearts and arrows pattern when viewed under a hearts and arrows scope.
Why no Certificate?
Most moissanite stones sold on ebay are sold with certificates from fake testing labs, these labs only exist as websites and do not exist in real life. They use the addresses of other businesses in the US, but if you view the building on street view in google maps, then you can see it is not a gem testing lab. These websites are used to register stones in bulk as genuine stones, but the stones are not actually tested by a lab. The only way to be sure a stone is genuine is to get it tested yourself by a recognised testing lab. I test my own stones and know they are real moissanite, but a GIA certificate would add at least £70 to the price for the smallest stones.
The easiest way to test a white round brilliant cut moissanite is to put it upside down over black text, you should not be able to see the text at all. See videos on youtube to see what you should see.

Hearts and arrows means that a round brilliant cut stone will show a hearts and arrows pattern under a hearts and arrows scope,
as shown in one of the pictures. It means that the stone is perfectly cut and whenever I get moissanite cut I ask for this cut, rather than just round brilliant.

About Moissanite
Moissanite was first synthesized in a lab before the natural mineral was found 2 years later by Henri Moissan in a meteor crator. Later Charles and Covard patented the mineral to be used to create gemstones. This patent has run out this year (2018) so now anybody can legally produce moissanite gemstones.
Moissanite is visually close to a diamond, but has more fire than a diamond. CZ is a closer match to a diamond visually, but Moissanite is harder than cz and can pass as diamond with older electronic diamond testers, this will only work with moissanites (and diamonds) bigger than 2mm as smaller than 2mm is too small for most diamond testers. Moissanite can also pass the text test: That is if you put a diamond on a piece of text (black on white paper) you cannot see any black, moissanite passes this test also, cz doesn't. Moissanite can also scratch Sapphire and scratch cz as it is harder.
