If you have a Sanden compressor manufactured between 2009 and 2015, on a VW, Audi or others that is  sometimes cool, sometimes warm, this is the valve you need.  Visually match it to yours.  This type uses a retaining clip, and in most cases is replaced in 15 minutes, located right behind the radiator fan.
