Reflex Foam mattresses - our firmer foam mattresses are an ideal choice for those requiring a firmer sleeping surface compared to memory foam. It should be noted though, it is not always the case and individual / personal preference has always to be taken into consideration.

Aloe Vera 5” Reflex Foam 1" Memory Foam Mattress

This is a slightly softer mattress, with just 5" of the firmer orthopaedic Reflex foam, topped with a 1" layer of the softer, visco-elastic memory foam. Originally developed by NASA, memory foam is heat and pressure sensitive and moulds to the shape of your body. This helps ensure a better sleeping posture, and reduces localised pressure points. This is beneficial to circulation and leads to a less disturbed night.

We offer free delivery to most of UK Mainland.

Most mattresses are vacuum packed, rolled and boxed. This makes it easier for delivery and for carrying to the room of your choice. Once unpacked, the mattress will expand to its designed size. If the mattress is NOT rolled packed it will be specified in the product description.

Additional charges may apply for the Scottish Highlands, Scottish Islands, Orkney and Shetland Islands, Channel Islands and Northern Ireland.

You have 30 days in which to inform us of your decision to return your mattress provided it has not been used and slept on.

It is important for hygiene reasons that your mattress is still within the plastic coverings. All mattress arrive hygienically vacuum wrapped so you can inspect your mattress before opening it.

The cost of returning an item is the responsibility of the purchaser. To arrange a return, please contact our CS team here and we will assist in the best and most cost effective ways to return your product.

What types of mattresses do you offer?

We offer a range of mattresses to suit various sleep preferences and needs, including memory foam, hybrid, innerspring, and lpocket spring mattresses. Each type provides a unique sleep experience, so you can choose based on comfort, support, and cooling features.

How do I choose the right mattress firmness?

Choosing the right firmness depends on your sleeping position, body weight, and personal preference. Generally, side sleepers prefer softer mattresses, back sleepers prefer medium-firm, and stomach sleepers prefer firmer options. Our mattress selection guide can help you find the perfect fit for your needs.

How do I set up my mattress after delivery?

Our mattresses are delivered compressed and rolled in a box for easy shipping. Simply unbox the mattress, place it on your bed frame, and let it expand fully over a few hours. It’s ready to use within a day but reaches optimal firmness after 48 hours

How do I care for my mattress?

To keep your mattress in great condition, we recommend using a mattress protector, rotating it every three to six months, and following any specific care instructions provided. Proper care extends the lifespan of your mattress and maintains optimal comfort.

Will my mattress have an odour when I first unbox it?

Some of our mattresses may have a mild, temporary "new mattress" smell when first unboxed due to compression and packaging. This is normal and harmless, and it usually dissipates within a few hours in a well-ventilated room.

Are you environmentally friendly?

We make an effort to ensure that the manufacturing process is as environmentally friendly as possible. We ensure 100% of waste foam from the manufacturing process is sold on for use in other products, such as flooring underlay and dog beds. The mattress is also rolled and delivered in a box to reduce the carbon footprint effect during delivery.

Seeing a demand for reliable and durable sleep solutions, we quickly expanded beyond our initial offering, growing from a small range of contract mattresses to a comprehensive catalogue of beds and mattresses.

In 2014, Starlight Beds became part of The Sleep People, marking a significant milestone in our journey.

In 2021 The Starlight Mattress Range officially launched, starting with the versatile Starlight 1-5 series, designed to cater to a variety of preferences and budgets. Recognising that every customer has unique requirements, this range offers options to suit everyone.

In 2024, we proudly expanded our expertise in mattress manufacturing with the launch of Starlight Babies, a brand dedicated to providing high-quality sleep solutions for little ones.
