"Presentation Set" No.2 USA 1957
The "Presentation Sets" offered in 1959 were Lesney's first ever Giftsets. These "PS"-sets were only sold in 1959, in 1960 the design was changed dramatically and the sets were renamed "Gift Sets". The ( unfortunately made from rather flimsy cardboard ) Presentation Set boxes were designed as a oversized "MATCHBOX" box with an similar design as the standard boxes from that period. The top lid was made fold able and could be used to create a small display to "present" the models. Unfortunately this could only be done a few times before the boxes started to came apart and so most of these sets which are survived to today are damaged and having loose or missing top lids. Boxes in very good condition are rare and command very high prices.
The rarest "Matchbox" related sets ever made, the Fred Bronner Corp. / US only Presentation Sets made between 1957 - 59 for the US market only. These sets always contained 8 individual boxed models sorted by their numbers, not specific themes. Therefore this sets contains the models number 9 to 16. Newer researches are seem to indicate that these sets were made exclusivly for the F.A.O. Schwarz toy store in NYC. All of these sets are extremly rare today, about 20 sets in total are known of all numbers combined!
As visible in the picture the box is having substantial water damage and is unfortunaly missing one outer flap and one inner flap. All other flaps are there and firmly attached to the box. No tape! The rear side had suffered some water damage. The set containes the follwing models: 9A Fire Engine, 10B Mechanical Horse, 11A ERF Tanker ( red, no rear decal ), 12A Land Rover, 13A Wreck Truck, 14B Ambulance ( without Red Cross decal to roof ), 15A Prime Mover and 16A Trailer. These are the correct models & variations ( all still fitted with metal wheels ) in their correct "B2" boxes. The models are very good to near mint, none is perfect but they all displayble. The boxes are generally good, most are excellent. All boxes are complere with all flaps, no tape, no grafitti but the 14B box is having one lose outer flap. These could be upgraded of course at a later time. Far from mint condition but then this might be the only one you will ever see.

Shipping: I ship worldwide! And yes, i will of course combine shipping for items bought on different sites from me whenever possible. All my items are located in Germany and will usually shipped from there.
Returns: I do offer a 14 day return option in case you are not completely satisfied with your purchase. Will refund full price paid by you once the item has been returned in the same condition as it was shipped from here, buyer will have to pay the return postage.
US customers: I frequently travel to the US and can always bring rare & expensive items with me and ship them from over there or meet you in person at nearly every corner within the US. Just get in touch with me. Will be at the yearly "Matchbox Collectors Gathering" in Albuquerque in july.
