883/1200 Sportster 32 Tooth Steel Transmission Pulley, 1991-2003: Pulley Kit  32TS-1B
The pulley you want! (not recommended for 883's)
The tools you need! (to remove the left-hand pulley nut & modify the pulley standoffs)
  • Decrease Vibration
  • "Overdrive Gearing", for high speed cruise!
  • Does not require a belt change for either 883 or 1200
  • Increased my 2005, 883 gas mileage from ~50 mpg to ~60 miles per gallon at 70 mph cruise.
  • Reduce 5th gear engine rpm approximately 125 per tooth change at 70 mph; Why cruise at 4,000 rpm?
  • Reduce oil temp from ~210 degree to ~190 degree (summer). Cruising at 3700+ rpm gets the engine hotter than 3200!
  • With this pulley you may not be able to do burnouts or raise the front wheel.
  • This is a 32 tooth all steel pulley not available elsewhere! (Aluminum with steel insert available, 32TAS-1)
  • Must state the year and model of your bike when ordering
  • Buell, Fits only 14mm pitch

  • 70- mph Cruise, ~3100 rpm: 30 Tooth Overdrive Transmission Pulley, ~3% (1200) to 11% (883) change
  • 65- mph Cruise, ~3000 rpm: 29 Tooth Overdrive Transmission Pulley ,~3% (883 only) change (same final gearing as a 1200)
883, 2004-Up: 
  • 75- mph Cruise, ~3300 rpm: 32 Tooth Front & 66 Tooth Rear Pulleys, ~17% change (same final gearing as a 1200 with a 30 tooth)
  • 70- mph Cruise, ~3300 rpm: 32 Tooth Overdrive Transmission Pulley, ~14% change (same final gearing as a 1200)
  • 65- mph Cruise, ~3200 rpm: 30 Tooth Overdrive Transmission Pulley, ~7.1% change
  • 60- mph Cruise, ~3100 rpm: 29 Tooth Overdrive Transmission Pulley, ~3.5% change 
  • Increase MPH in Each Gear:
    • You won't have to wind it out just to keep up with traffic anymore!
    • You can actually "use" 1st, 2nd & 3rd!
  • Reduce Highway Engine RPM:
    • 32 Tooth: Modifications are required to pulley cover and matching case standoffs. Visit website for photos and instructions, SportsterStuff.webs.com.
      • 1991-2003, 32TS-1: Same as changing rear pulley to a 55 tooth. Sport models may require a 130 belt or shorter shocks.
      • 2004-Up, 32TS-2: Gives 883's the same final ratio as 1200's, gives 1200's an "overdrive" 5th gear
    • 30 Tooth: No modifications required, except XR's require modifying the inside of the pulley cover.
      • 1991-2003, 30TS-1: This is one more tooth than a stock 1200
      • 2004-Up, 30TS-2: Gives 883's more mph in every gear, still lower than 1200's; two more teeth than stock.
  • Install: Does not require a belt change
  • Fitment: Sportster 1991-Up, must specify year & model; Buell 14mm only
