Falkland is my new favorite wool for its softness, versatility and because it is virtually chemical free. The harsh climate where the sheep grows makes it very difficult for insects to live. This is not an actual breed, but it's usually a cross between Corriedale, Polwarth and Dohne Merino. It gets its name after the Falkland Islands, located in the Southern Atlantic Ocean. The staple has an average length between 4 to 6 inches. It has a nice grip which makes it very easy to spin for those that are beginners. I would recommend it for next to skin garments. This fiber will felt.

All my fiber comes from a smoke-free, pet-free environment.
I store and send out my fibers with lavender sachets to keep pests away. Please let me know if you are allergic to lavender to avoid sending it to you.

I do my best to get pictures from different angles to capture and show the beauty of the color combinations. Remember that your monitor may show colors different than mine. I'm always open for questions.
