If you don't want a sagging water feature, then use this heavy duty grate which is self supporting, requiring no additional supports for most water features.This grate is commonly used to cover water basins or reservoirs that support bubbling rocks, vase fountains, pottery, or imitation rocks. You can use this grate for pondless waterfall construction as well. 

Note: We recommend adding center support blocks under the grate's center for any fountain, stone or other feature that weighs over 50 lbs. to allow support of an adult for servicing the display and because even a heavy duty grate can sag in time without center support. With cinder blocks beneath its center, this platform can support almost 1,000 lbs.

A pump access door can be added with a saw, if necessary.
