wear in India. It is the loose end of saris
collected from Industrial mills in India that is
hand spun into yarn by women's co-operatives in
south India, spinning and knitting yarn enables the
women to earn much needed income from their cottage
industry . because it is handspun each hank is
unique , the vibrant color and unique texture of
these silk fibers and silk yarn are inspiration to
Knitters, designers and artisans the yarn
is suitable for knitting, weaving, crocheting,
decorative tassels, patch work, and other needle
applications.
Yardage: Since the yarn is
hand spun, the yardage varies from skein per
skein the thickness and amount of twist in
particular skein make difference in the total
