This is new Hejnar Photo Quick Release 12.00 inch rail with 3.25 inch clamp. Something similar to rail with integrated clamp after assembled. Great as nodal slide. I do provide 2 dowel pins with rail. It prevent clamp from twisting. Clamp itself is 3.25 inch with dual mounting and captive style knob. Clamp can be place on rail with knob facing back or side. The main purpose of this rail is to help you convert a standard clamp from different manufactures into a rail/clamp combination used as nodal slide for your gear. You can mount any size clamp onto this rail. You are not limited to a 1.5 inch clamp.(Some camera L brackets are designed with cut on sides to let you access a connection on the left side. If this is the case, a 1.5 inch clamp or nodal slide with integrated clamps will not work. There is simply no room to engage the clamp jaws). Heavy equipment also requires wider clamps.
If you own a clamp from any manufacturer you can mount it on the rail. If you want the clamp to go higher so that the end of the rail will not be visible in your viewfinder you can use a 1/4 or 3/8 spacer block (sold separately).
I do provide 2 dowel pins with the rail. They prevent the clamp from twisting . If you own a clamp with a groove it will help placing the pin(s) into the rail hole and align with the groove on the clamp. My own Hejnar Photo clamps incorporate extra holes for aligning the clamp on the rail and preventing it from twisting.
Some clamps you will have to mount without pins. They do not have any opening where anti twisting pins can be located. In that situation you can use an index stop bar (sold separately) to prevent the clamp from twisting. As you can see on the pictures, the clamp can be placed on the rail in orientation where the clamp knob is on its back or on its side.
It is the best quick release system for tripods and monopods when combined with Arca style ball head and quick release clamps. International standard dove-tail rail, compatible with Arca-Swiss type quick release clamps

Clamp Specification:

- Two outside holes are taped 1/4-20 and 45mm apart from each other.
