The M1 Garand Photo Essay.  This is an interesting book which as the title suggests is a photo essay of the component parts of the M1 Rifle. The book is spiral bound and divided into 15 sections of photos of the parts of the various makers; good close up photos of the markings, with comparisons of the different manufacturers. A unique book for the US military and the M1 Garand Collector.  Has 406 pages of photos, comments and  the parts. Privately published by the author Larry Babcock in 2009. This is a great tool for the M1 Garand or the U.S. Military collector. See book review in "American Rifleman" November 2019.

A Note: as in the preface of the book, the book does not have every change order or have all varieties of the over 4 million rifles. I have a lot of them photographed for your help in seeing the progression of parts and changes. Thanks, Larry
