This set of six vintage French advertising apéritif glasses from a Parisian terrace bistro have the rare, early edition "Anisette 51" branding in a continuous all round blue logo. Originally produced exclusively as promotional barware for busy city bistros to celebrate the post war return of aniseed spirits in 1951, each glass combines a heavy, thick set base with a beautifully fluted, multi faceted lower half that catches the light elegantly. They are in excellent vintage condition with crisp blue graphic transfers and clear glass, entirely free from any chips, cracks, or cloudiness as shown in the photographs and revolving video. Each glass measures 5.8cm in diameter across the top rim, stands 13cm tall and the set has a substantial combined total weight of 1.3kg.
