A Bordeaux wine bottle rests in a woven wicker basket, painted in porcelain and set on a hinged trinket box. The bottle is deep claret under a gold foil capsule, with a white label reading “Bordeaux 1994,” “Mis en bouteille au Château” and “75 cl.” The basket is hand-painted in layered browns and ambers. Lift the bottle and basket and the box opens to a white porcelain interior with a small hand-painted grape vine at the bottom.

The base is marked “Peint main, Eximious, Limoges France.” The hinge and rim are fitted with gilded brass, and a cluster of brass grapes forms the clasp. It comes in its original navy Eximious London box with the Limoges Encore card from Northfield, Illinois.
