HO • 1:87 • Ready-to-Roll • Factory Assembled • New in Original Packaging
Offered here is Athearn #93103, the impressive Main Street Garage Mack R heavy-duty tow truck / wrecker. Finished in an eye-catching purple and silver Main Street Garage scheme, this is one of the more visually elaborate vehicles in Athearn's Mack commercial-truck series.
Mack's R-Series became one of the most recognizable American heavy-duty conventional trucks. Its rugged chassis was well suited to demanding vocational applications, including the heavy recovery and towing work represented by this model.
The long tandem-axle chassis, substantial recovery body and boom give this truck an imposing appearance even at 1:87 scale.
This factory-assembled Ready-to-Roll model features the distinctive Mack R conventional cab, detailed heavy-duty wrecker body, tandem rear axles and a finely rendered towing boom and rigging.
Visible details include clear cab glazing, interior detail, mirrors, exhaust, realistic rubber tires, chrome-finished wheels, body compartments, rear stabilizing equipment and the detailed boom, cable and hook assembly.
The purple Main Street Garage decoration is accented with silver and gold striping and lettering, producing an unusually colorful heavy-duty wrecker.
New in original packaging. The truck has never been displayed, played with or used.
The original 2005 Athearn card and blister show storage and handling wear. There are handwritten inventory/price markings on the card, and the lower portion of the package shows visible creasing/wear. These packaging issues do not detract from the appearance of the model itself but are specifically disclosed for collectors who value package condition.
Please examine the photographs carefully. They show the exact model and packaging being offered and are an important part of the condition description.
