This very rare antique tin plated iron metal chocolate Santa Claus mould dates from the late 1800s.It depicts Father Christmas dressed in a full belted coat, holding a heavy sack of toys over his shoulder in a traditional design typical of the Victorian era.The external side edge of the metal is crisply stamped with the historic Austrian maker mark reading E. F. TEICH WIEN, alongside the design pattern number 4619. The prestigious E. F. Teich workshop in Vienna was highly celebrated for producing exceptionally detailed, premium quality professional confectionery forms, making their stamped survival pieces highly sought after by European kitchenalia collectors today.The mould is in used antique condition with worn and rusted areas on the original tin finish as shown in the photographs and revolving video.The mould measures 19cm tall by 10cm wide, 4.5cm deep and weighs 110g.
