Charming book published around 1924 with sheet music for songs of fairies. The fairies are depicted in colour plates and are all intact.
The book has a handwritten dedication, "Presented to Joan Wade for good work during year 1927. Lenham, Eastbourne Form II".
Ebay's AI says...
"The product is a hardback book titled "Spring Songs with Music from Flower Fairies of the Spring" by Cicely Mary Barker. The book features music from the "Flower Fairies of the Spring" series, providing an early 20th-century charm with its original printing in English. This collectable piece from Europe, specifically the United Kingdom, is a unique addition for those interested in music and the whimsical world of flower fairies."
...Which is pretty much what this book is. But I wonder who Joan Wade of Eastbourne was, and what good work she did in 1927? Whatever it was, it's nice to know that almost 100 years later, we can still see the results of that good work.
