Mineral Blue MGC GT 1969. Wire wheels, Overdrive, Vin: GCD1U 8949G.

One of the last Gt's to be manufactured in August 1969, despatched to the USA, registered January 1970.

Repatriated from the USA June 2026, having been in storage in new Mexico for the last 25 years. Incredibly rust free . Had very light rust in sills and front floors, so have been professionally replaced with Heritage items. See pictures before interior was refitted.
The MGC has been recommissioned with new clutch master, clutch slave, overhauled carbs, new petrol tank, petrol pump and rear brakes. Prior to being stored a new steering rack was fitted and front shock absorbers. Also a new ali bonnet was fitted 25 years ago but has a number of dents that will need professional attention. Fortunately it comes with a spare ali bonnet. It runs and drives-50 lbs oil pressure no smoke. Front brakes need attention.

New Mexico has a very hot and dry climate so is an ideal environment to preserve cars but the sun destroys anything rubber or plastic. Fortunately the interior of the MGC has been out of the sun for a number of years so is in very good condition as can be seen from the photos.

Unbelievably everything works on the MGC, lights, indicators, hazards, wipers, instruments but not the cigar lighter. Will need tyres for MOT as are old. This MGC would be ideal to restore as no panel work and totally dry throughout. Alternatively a suitable donner car for your rusty UK car at a fraction of the cost. Has V5 and New Mexico Title.
