GTM Wired ABR-1 Vintage Gibson Style Tune-o-matic Bridge (Gold, Plain Brass Saddles)

This vintage wired Gibson ABR-1 Style Tune-o-matic Bridge is made by the same manufacturer that makes the ABR-1 for Gibson Historic and Custom Shop guitars.

The first style of ABR-1 bridge did not have a saddle retaining wire meaning that over time the friction fit between the intonation screw and the bridge body could wear and the saddles could fall out and become lost. Gibson introduced a wired version of the ABR-1 around 1962 which keeps the saddles and intonation screws in place during string changes and so this bridge will let you replicate the look and feel of that classic '60s Gibson bridge. The low E and A saddles are reversed to add extra intonation room, compensating for the narrower body width. The saddles are unnotched to allow for slotting to match your chosen string gauge and lets you set the string spacing just right.

This is the bridge body only, posts and thumbwheels are not included (both are stocked as separate items), please note the chrome version will have nickel plated intonation screws and saddles.
