This vintage French modernist stovetop kettle was made by the quality manufacturer ALSA in a striking Art Deco design dating from the 1930s. Crafted with a heavy pure copper body, the exterior is finished with a brilliant mirror polished nickel and chrome plating with a decorative fluted or panelled shape The kettle is fitted with the original, thick faceted butterscotch Bakelite handle and a matching knob on the lid. The base is crisply stamped with the authentic manufacturer mark reading ALSA CUIVRE PUR NICKELE CHROME MODELE DEPOSE, which translates from French as "ALSA Pure Copper Nickeled Chrome Registered Design". It is in great vintage condition with a highly reflective exterior surface showing only minor storage scuffs consistent while the interior tin lining has limescale deposits from general domestic use as shown in the photographs and revolving video.The kettle stands 25cm tall including the upright handle,measures 18cm diameter and weighs 830g .
