Atom 40 Bomber Metal Lip Round Nose Striped Bass 5" Vintage Lure in a green mackerel pattern made from durable plastic. Condition is Used.

The Atom 40 is a legendary, saltwater-grade metal-lipped swimming plug originally pioneered by Bob Pond of Atom Lures in the 1940s for surfcasting to striped bass and bluefish. Positive buoyancy floats on the surface at rest.

The Atom bomber features a rounded nose and a metal lip that gives it a distinct side-to-side tail-wagging wiggle. It rides right on top during a slow retrieve and can dive down up to 2 to 6 feet on a faster retrieve or when tuned.
