In 1911 the Gaelic League sent three Irish craftswomen to the United States for a 10-month tour promoting Irish-made goods. Brigit O’Quinn, a lace maker trained at Benada Convent, Sligo, was one of them. She demonstrated lace-making while dressed in this costume. The National Museum of Ireland holds an example of this card. Back is unused, marked CARTA PUIST, printed by Malcolm & Hayes, N.Y. Stamp box present. No writing, no postmark. Card is in good unused condition with light age toning and minor edge wear consistent with age. Please see photos for the exact card you will receive.
