Moorcroft “Illyarrie” Vase.

A Moorcroft vase in the Illyarrie pattern on the 226/7 shape, designed by Emma Bossons in 2000 for release exclusively in Australian in 2000. The vase is in excellent condition, and comes in its original presentation box.

This piece, like most of my contemporary boxed Moorcroft pieces, comes from a former Moorcroft retailer. They have been securely stored in their original boxes, not seeing daylight until now, thus they are in near ex-factory condition.

Illyarrie, the Aboriginal word for the Outback, heralded the first time that Moorcroft produced a complete range exclusively for Australian Collectors. The botanical name comes from two Greek words, erythro for red and korys for helmet. The golden flowers of the Illyarrie (eucalyptus erythrocorys) contrast strongly with the deep orange of the ornamental buds.

Size: height 19 cm, 10 cm diam, unboxed weight 630g

Please view all the pictures as they complete the description. While I do my best to reproduce the true colours of the pieces, they will vary slightly from system to system, and in actual viewing they will vary under differing lighting. All white spots are purely light reflections from the camera flash.

Please look in my store for further Moorcroft pottery items.
