Moorcroft “Illyarrie” Coaster.

A Moorcroft coaster in the Illyarrie pattern designed by Emma Bossons in 2000. The coaster is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or crazing. It comes in its original Moorcroft presentation box.

This piece, like most of my contemporary boxed Moorcroft pieces, comes from a former Moorcroft retailer. They have been securely stored in their original boxes, not seeing daylight until now, thus they are in near ex-factory condition.

Illyarrie, the Aboriginal word for the Outback, heralded the first time that Moorcroft produced a complete range exclusively for Australian Collectors. The botanical name comes from two Greek words, erythro for red and korys for helmet. The golden flowers of the Illyarrie (eucalyptus erythrocorys) contrast strongly with the deep orange of the ornamental buds.

Size: 12 cm diam

Please view all the pictures as they complete the description. While I do my best to reproduce the true colours of the pieces, they will vary slightly from system to system, and in actual viewing they will vary under differing lighting. All white spots are purely light reflections from the camera flash.
