A RARE VINTAGE CRYSTAL LATTICE STRUCTURE MOLECULAR MODEL TEACHING AID, WITH 23 PAINTED WOOD BALLS EACH CONNECTED BY SPLIT ENDED BRASS RODS.

Each ball is drilled with 26 holes for multiple construction possibilities by students. AI suggests this may be an early example produced by Crystal Structures Ltd (Cambridge) c.1947 founded by Dr Nora Wooster, but I haven't be able to find any comparable example.

MAKERS MARKS - unmarked

SIZE - approx. Balls 2.5cm (1") , rods 7.5cm (3in) long

Model currently as constructed : 19.5cm high 10.5cm wide

          CONDITION - VERY GOOD (a few small paint losses, patina to brass rods. Please see photos)
