Beautiful and unusually delicate pair of antique clear crystal/glass wine or sherry glasses, believed to date from the early 20th century, approximately c.1900–1920.

These are particularly lovely quality pieces. Each has a very fine, thin bowl decorated with exceptionally intricate guilloché-style geometric engraving. The design features interlocking loops, finely cross-hatched lattice bands and long delicate vertical lines ending in tiny dot details.

The glasses have elegant slender stems and broad circular feet, with subtle irregularities consistent with early manufacture.

Each glass weighs only approximately 66g and produces a beautiful loud, clear resonant tone when gently tapped.

They are also UV reactive. Under 365nm UV they display a strong green fluorescence, with some green reaction also visible under 395nm. This reaction is consistent with manganese-bearing clear glass.

The exact maker remains unidentified. The quality, form and exceptionally fine geometric decoration are consistent with high-quality European glassmaking of the period, particularly French, Belgian or Central European production.
