Logic tells me the 8-56 likely refers to August 1956

Research indicates Kimball acquired Hemmingway in 1951 and closed down in 1966

Measures approximately 4 3/8 inch high and 5 5/8 inch wide

Pretty hefty … weighs about 1lb 8oz

Looks like it has some hard water stain stains,

I do not detect any cracks in this item … slight chip on edge below USA and below T in TEMPERED

Inner rim is worn as would be expected

I have not cleaned this item and I leave any cleaning up to the buyer
